St. Patrick’s Day Events on Pawleys Island

This St. Patrick’s Day, follow the rainbow to miles of ‘gold’-en beaches and plenty of festive activities to celebrate the Irish holiday on Pawleys Island.

Murrells Inlet Luck of the Marshwalk

Feeling lucky? Head to the marshwalk in Murrells Inlet at 5 pm on St. Patrick’s Day as you and fellow festival attendees will be offered a chance to try your luck at winning over $1000 in cash and prizes. Dress in your most festive green attire and keep on the lookout for secret leprechauns that will be handing out colored coins to their favorite dressed festival-goers. Each of the bars and restaurants along the waterfront will be featuring food and drink specials, along with live music throughout the evening. You will also be able to collect colored coins from these places, which give you a chance to win prizes.

St. Paddy’s Day at Local

Everyone’s a little bit Irish when they celebrate at Local. From 12 pm to 9 pm on March 17th, the newest restaurant in the Hammock Shops of Pawleys Island will be hosting a variety of live music and offering plenty of food and drink specials. The event will kick off with Coastal Shields Pipe & Drum band, followed by Geezer (Mike “Duney Boy” Milne and “Jersey” Joe from 12:30 until 3:30 pm, and Fox and Gifford playing Irish Music from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. This is the spot to “Eat, Drink, and Celebrate” with a refreshing pint of Guinness.

St Patrick's Day

When you’re visiting the beach you don’t have to indulge in festivals or events to celebrate the Irish holiday. You can shop outdoors at the local Hammock Shops and spend your ‘green’ money on wine tastings, new clothes, or a souvenir. There are plenty of ‘green’ plants and oak trees to meander through when you spend the day exploring the sculpture gardens of Brookgreen Gardens.

If you’re looking for a place to stay during the festivities, check out the vacation rentals through Lachicotte in Pawleys Island. You’ll be staying close to all the events and places to entertain your group. Make sure to pack plenty of green!
