The History of the Company
Founded in 1991, The Lachicotte Company, based in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, is a full-service sales and marketing organization with rental and Property Management Divisions. Our sales team specializes in residential, commercial, development and acreage sales while their rental team stands out in property management along with both long-term and short-term rentals.
Founder A.H. “Doc” Lachicotte began his real estate career in the 1960's and has been continually involved in Grand Strand and Lowcountry rentals, sales, and real estate/golf course development. Local highlights are Waverly Plantation, Wachesaw Plantation, The River Club, and nationally acclaimed Caledonia and True Blue Golf Clubs. Lachicotte has shared his extensive knowledge of the area and depth of contacts with his staff of top agents who have also contributed their experience to create the preferred choice of real estate marketing from Murrells Inlet to McClellanville and all areas of Georgetown, Williamsburg, and Horry Counties. Lou Lachicotte, current president and broker in charge, continues the family legacy and enhances the company's experience by bringing a few values of her own: smart marketing, advanced technology, and streamlined administration.
