First impresions upon entering the house created a warm welcome

As usual the staff at Lachicotte were fantastic. The outsourcing of the linen to a third party needs to be reviewed. Late in arriving and guys trying to make beds after happy hour does not mix well. We were much happier with previous years

Our 2nd time at Price and it won't be the last!

After staying at Price in May 2010, my friends and I decided to visit again in July. Everything about Price is great! The creek dock and it's location is unmatched! The walk to the beach proved to be a bit much in the heat wave we were in, but not so much that we wouldn't do it again. The house itself is gorgeous with everything you need to share a vacation with many. We will rent again soon.

Beautiful sunsets, comfy house, too many jellyfish

The Price house was full of character and charm. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed the porches and the beautiful sunsets. Pawley's is like a step back in time and the locals seem to love tourists! The best features of the house were the screened porch and the dock in the back for crabbing. The rental company made check in and check out very easy. To future travelers I would like to point out a few things. The sheets we rented did not include fitted sheets, only flat ones. The house write up said the house didn't come with a grill and there were actually 2 grills there...so don't pack one! Beware of visiting in August because the ocean is full of jelly fish. The locals said it happens every August and everyone in our family got stung multiple times. The location of the house is beautiful but be prepared for a pretty significant hike to the beach. We should have brought a wagon to haul our gear. Overall we had a wonderful time with our family and the house was very comfortable.

We were a Sunday check-in so no one was in the office when we arrived, 20 minutes early. I know you stressed no one before 3PM; however we could not get the key box to open and it was very stressful! Fortunately someone from the realestate office came with the keys at 3:00. please simplify the key thing!! Who could we have called if we missed her? At the house, which was fabulous and perfect for our family, we didn't discover the "private access to the beach" until Thurs. when I saw a man go that way and followed him. We thought we had to walk all the way over at the end or that long sandy wide trail. We were dragging chairs umbrellas and young children the long way.Sometimes we drove down to the beach access up the road. Please give directions for this path in the house where renters can see it. There were more positives: wonderful screened porch and dock area, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, loved the loft. Nicely furnished, room for cars and equipment. We have been coming to Pawleys since 1979 and now with our grandchildren. This was our first time renting from Lachicotte. Thanks, Beth Hyser

Great for large families

The Price House is at the quiet north end of Pawleys and is a great home for large families. The kitchen was well-stocked and the living areas were large enough to accomodate all 14 of us. The enclosed porch on the marsh side was very relaxing. The walk to the beach was a bit hard with young children, but the smooth water at that end was perfect for them. I did miss being as close to the beach as we are when we stay at the south end. The creek dock was in need of some small repairs.
