I had not been topawleys since I was a kid. We brought the dog and 3 boys under 6 so this house was ideal. Sparse furniture was actually a good thing as I did not want the kids to damage something. Only major issue I had was no grill to BBQ with. Greg

Easy beach access Short walk to creek access Great fun at the Fourth Outstanding staff and services at Lachicotte Needs more rocking chairs for screen enclosed porch! Great porch, just needs more rockers for long evenings with friends and family

Overall...Drop anchor was great for the price...but...

Overall, Drop anchor was a great vacation rental. The only problem I had with the house was the furniture. The den furniture was not comfortable and nor were the beds. If it were my house, I would want big over sized, comfortable and cozy furniture for my guest. Other than that, the screened in porch was the best and the rustic vibe of the house was great. Although the furniture was not the best, I would still recommend Drop anchor to my friends and family. We really enjoyed our week on Pawley's Island at Drop anchor. We will be back next summer! Winter on the Marsh

Pawley's is know to be "arrogantly shabby". This cottage had a wonderful cedar aroma as soon as we entered. The furniture is not particularly comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. The refrigerator looks a bit worn but works fine. A good, well equipped laundry facility. Great parking underneath. I can imagine this place in the spring or summer would be so much fun - easy 1/2 block walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the marsh. We had a great time.

Love the porch but nothing to cook with...

The house is great. My only concern is the utensils in the kitchen...Thereis not much. The house needs a mixer, cookie sheets, muffin pan, plastic cups, not glasses, water pitcher for Koolaid. It was not really stocked with the basic kitchen essentials. I loved the wireless and porch and water pressure in the shower!

We have stayed in this house for 5 years. Kitchen is very well-equipped and plumbing is always reliable. Only wish is that the porch rocking chair ensemble would be upgraded. other than that--perfect.
