Great location but house getting a bit shabby!!

We were not happy to arrive and find the water turned off for the entire house. I feel that this should not have occured, however, it was turned on within an hour of our call. This is about the 5th time we rented this house. It has deffinitely gone downhill since we started. (I know rentals take wear and tear!)Two years ago we had water dripping into the 2nd floor bedroom and the twin bed was soaking wet at the end!! This year the ice maker was broken - we did not report it since it has always been brokn for the past 5 times we rented!! Instead, we just buy ice. Light bulbs were out in the two upstiars bathrooms, both over the shower, and one in the entire bath. I think things like this should be checked prior to a family showing up for vacation. I would not write these things in the guestbook as it would not be fair to the owner to have disparaging remarks. We like the location and the layout of the house suits our family - we'll probably rent it again, but not sure if my friends would rent it and deal well with the problems we encountered. beautiful spacious home

We loved the house. The only drawback was dragging everything down to the beach; before this trip, we had always stayed right on the beach; the description we were given was a little misleading. They told me on the phone that we couldn't see the ocean from the house because of the protected dunes. We had no idea what the community was like, but based on this statement, we didn't realize it was a large community; the reason we couldn't see the beach had nothing to do with dunes, but only to do with condominium buildings and other houses. However it was a very nice facility.
