HUNTING
Maidendown Bay Gun and Golf Hunting Preserve offers a unique hunting experience in the largest duck preserve in South Carolina. Their hunts can be arranged for morning or afternoon excursions in over 700 acres of natural bird habitat. They provide special packages for hunters staying at the Inlet Sports Lodge.

QUAIL HUNTS
The Quail Hunt at Maidendown Bay is one of the most popular hunts they provide. The quail hunt is limited to 3 guns per hunt at the guide's request. Additional birds can be added to the hunt at the rate of $7 per bird.
Morning and afternoon quail hunts are available. Morning hunts are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with an arrival time of 8:00 a.m. One half-time break period is offered. Afternoon hunts are from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one half-time break period.
The Wobble Trap is used as a warm up exercise for shooters. The Trap yields 10 shots for $5.00. Hunters may use the wobble trap prior to a hunt at no extra cost.

DUCK HUNTS
Maidendown Bay Gun and Golf is the largest duck preserve in South Carolina and is considered the location of some of the very finest duck hunting in the state. Duck hunts start at sunrise when hunters are escorted to their blinds. Interaction is high as hunters are invited to assist the guide in setting out and retrieving decoys.
Duck hunts have a limit of a 5 bird kill per person and are not to exceed 4 guns per blind at the guide's request. The maximum limit per blind is 20 birds.
