Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival
Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival is an annual festival that celebrates more than one hundred area artisans with booths exhibiting and providing their crafts for sale. The setting is in the historic Atalaya castle on the Atlantic coast of South Carolina, the home of the Huntingtons who developed Brookgreen Gardens and donated their land to the preservation and enjoyment of the public through the state park service.
Participating artists provide such wares as:
• Basketry
• Clay Pottery and Porcelain
• Glass
• Jewelry
• Leather, Fiber, and Wearable Crafts
• Metal Work
• Oil and Acrylic Fine Arts
• Watercolor Painting and Pastels
• Original Printmaking
• Paper Making

• Woodworks
Food and music is usually provided at this event.
The Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival is open to the public and typically costs $6.00 for adults with a multi-day park pass of $10.00 per vehicle. Children under the age of 15 years old are admitted to the festival for free.
No pets are allowed; stroller and wheelchair access is limited due to uneven surfaces, stairs, and narrow hallways.
